Demographic Transition Graphs

Students in several classes used their bodies or ropes to create giant demographic transition graphs on the floor of the classroom. Some groups had more success than others. Here is a picture of a group who were asked to use ropes.

ESS 12 Timber!

The ESS class, as part of their studies about population, took part in a role play where each student played the role of a member of one of the interest groups or stake holders in the rain forest of Lautasica. The cups on the floor represent the trees of the forest.

ESS 12 to Halfway River

New year, new activities

All the students in ESY and ENS took part in a simulation titled Planet Transit. The aim of the simulation was to build up the economy without running out of land due to environmental degredation. This degredation was simulated by the loss of the foam cushions that the students stood upon.
